China Horse Chestnuts

Penkridge Ceramics are a ceramics company based in Walsall, UK who specialise in creating the most life like ceramic fruits, vegetables, and China horsechestnuts. The creators at Penkridge Ceramics create as close to the real thing as possible, ensuring a beautiful finish each and every time that doesn’t look out of place in any home.
The design work, glaze development, and production is all carried out in Walsall in the UK, and each piece is made to order. Attention to detail is crucial, and each and every piece is individually considered to make sure that it looks as life like as possible. For example, several layers of glaze are usually added to add both colour and texture to the piece.
The China Horsechestnut Range
Penkridge Ceramics guarantee a super real, accurate finish on completion. The China horsechestnut range is especially popular, as it evokes a real feeling of nostalgia from all collectors. It tends to remind them of their childhood, of country walks in the autumn and the gathering of horsechestnuts along the way. Penkridge Ceramics have aimed to capture the moment when the shell first bursts open to reveal the bright shiny conker inside.
There are ten different types of horsechestnut to collect, from a loose nut to a metal branch with three shells attached. Some come apart to reveal a bright shiny conker which can be removed from the shell itself and there are also larger shells with double nuts inside. Whatever you may be looking for in a horsechestnut ceramic collection, you can find exactly what you’re looking for here.
All the twigs in the range are made in metal and hand painted.
The Product Range
There are many other types of products in the collection too:

The range is continuously expanding to include new and exciting pieces, from pineapples to pea pods. Various metal twig and leaf arrangements make the pieces unique, and all glaze is devised in the studio. There are nine different varieties of apple and multiple types of other fruit on top of this, so you’re not short of choice, whatever you’re looking for.
These ceramics make incredible gifts for nature lovers, those who love gardening, growing fruits, or simply someone who wants to enhance their home interior.
