Whole shell open & Baby whole shell closed

Description

This piece has two shells joined together onto a pewter stalk.

The whole shell open has one nut inside with the lid attached, so the nut is not removable. It is 6.5 x 5.5cm. The other shell is a baby whole shell closed, 2 x 2cm.  They are both attached to a pewter stalk which is hand painted. The shells are life size – and cast in clay then glazed and hand painted.
